What Happens in a Lock-down?
NCA makes every effort to keep your children safe and out of harm's way. It is critical that every parent/visitor check in at the front desk and acquire a visitor's badge.
In a lock-down, we secure the children in a safe location.
During a lock-down all the classroom and outside doors are locked. We cannot open any doors at any time - not even to parents. Return to your vehicle if the building is locked. Do not try to pick your children up from school during a lock-down.
In the event of a severe emergency, students will be kept at school until dismissed to the care of a parent or guardian. For more information, refer to our emergency manual, which covers our emergency management policies and procedures.
